Chrome Permissions

uShot requests only the permissions needed for its single purpose: capturing, annotating, copying, saving, and optionally sharing screenshots selected by the user.

activeTab

Used to capture the visible area of the active browser tab only after the user invokes uShot.

storage

Used to remember local preferences such as last-used annotation color, stroke thickness, and text size.

downloads

Used to save the final screenshot PNG to the user's device when the user chooses the save action.

clipboardWrite

Used to copy the final screenshot PNG to the clipboard when the user chooses the copy action, and to copy the generated scrn.cloud link when the user chooses the cloud upload action.

scrn.cloud host permission

Used only to upload the final screenshot PNG to scrn.cloud when the user chooses the cloud upload action. The default capture, annotation, copy, and save workflow remains local.

No broad host access

uShot does not request broad all-sites host permissions for its capture workflow.
